They say kids are the surest cure for double standards, and Wei and I got a taste of this recently. As all parents try to do, we've taught nat to avoid displays of anti-social behaviour or rudeness. For example we've taught her that "stupid" is a rude word. Unexpectedly she's policing us far more than we do her! She caught Wei and I about a dozen times over the weekend, the word comes up a lot, especially when one is driving. When nat hears us say the word, our little law enforcer will immediately say: "Mommy, Daddy, you cannot say stupid!" So I guess we have to be on our best behaviour in front of nat too!

The same creativity of thought was unveiled when she watched Yoda in Revenge of the Sith: "little baby gong gong". Or "monster uncle" for Senator Palpatine.

It is going to be fun seeing what more delights unfold as they grow up.
