Baby nat is a foodie, she likes food just like her daddy :) To date, she's tasted apples, pears, peaches and rice cereals. She's very fussy though, if she finds the fruit too sour she will "pui" and show you a grumpy face haha my cute little sweetheart. Over the weekend, we bought her a high chair. I read that it is important to build up good feeding habits with young children. This means that every meal time, you will find her on the high chair at the dinner table. I hope that she can learn this good habit such that when she grows older, during meal times, she knows that she has to sit at the table for meals and not be running all over the place. hmm, am I making too many demands on my babee?

I had started writing this blog as a way of reminding myself of all the happy times I experience during baby nat's growing up years. Over the past few months, I realise that many frens do log in regularly to read my blog and share in my happiness :) thanks everyone ... will continue to put up pics of my nat for all to enjoy ... here are some recent pics of her swimming ... finally she is beginning to enjoy it.

The many expressions of nat, my sweetheart. Over the weekend, we became Friends of the Zoo. I've always had a vision of strolling with nat at the zoo, pointing out to her all the interesting animals and just bonding with her. This weekend, it was drizzling, not quite the leisurely stroll I had in mind. But nevertheless we got some really good photos. Check it out!

Baby's first cereal

Having reached 5.5 months, and starting to display a strong interest in food, I decided to start nat on Heinz baby's cereals on Saturday. Initially, she looked suspiciously at it but after tasting it, she took to the cereals quite happily. Next up, fruit purees. But I'll go slow and easy ... introducing one new fruit at a time.

Good mummy, second post for the day. Today brought nat to see dr tan, her pediatrician. she is officially 6.9kg and 60.5cm today ... glad she is growing well. look at her, who can resist this little sweetheart? gary thinks i am baby obsessed.

I've been a lazy mummy, have not been updating my blog regularly :) over the weekend, nat met her little friends jamie and rafe again ... it was great meeting up with the other mums to chit chat and for the babies to mingle :) all 3 took turns to fall asleep and wake up ... v cute. check out the pics.

anywayz, i've recently switched nat to cloth diapers ... it's from a really cool brand called bumwear. sigh, she has been using so many disposable diapies until i'm almost broke, so I decided to try out the cloth diapers instead. may be a bit more tedious in terms of washing but in the long run, think it is better for my wallet and of course her little butt. check out the little pink diapies in the pics.

How does it feel when you find that your maid can pacify your baby to sleep and you can't. It sure doesn't feel good, after all, the maid is a stranger while you have been carrying the little blob in your tummy 24/7 for 9 months. Sigh ... life is full of decisions ... don't work and look after baby and you lose your financial freedom ... work and someone else suddenly becomes closer to your baby ... let me mull over these thoughts and make a decision on what to do.

My pretty girl ... today brought nat out for a short trip to Ikea. My girl was dressed in her snazzy pair of jeans. Being the practical person I was, I was all ready to bring her out in just a top and diapers. Heehee but my maid said little girls cannot go out in diapers only, must dress nice nice haha :) ok lor ... anywayz i think she's like me, loves to go out! When we came back from our outing, she was still not tired and we spent great efforts coaxing her to have a nap :)

Another pressie for nat, a cool walker. I've heard pp say that walkers are no good for babies, but I think it's fine as long as you don't leave them in it for hours on end. She's enjoying her new pressie and it's keeping occupied for a little while. Have I mentioned that I love nat more and more every day, in fact, these days, I want to bring her out with me even when we go shopping because I can't bear to leave her at home. gary thinks i'm obsessive compulsive haha :)

Nat's first swimming adventure! Today she was really cranky, seemed to have too much pent up energy ... so I decided to bring her swimming. Met with some "resistance" at first, but after a while, she seemed to settle down and enjoy it. Looks like this is one activity that we will be doing together more often. Here are pics of my fave girl :)

Today, we brought nat out for a good time. first, we trooped off to vivocity for a quick shopping trip. i was determined to buy nat a fan to attach to her stroller as i noticed that whenever we went to botanic gardens, she would get cranky as it was very hot. heehee of course i managed to buy the fan ... it's kind of cute in a tacky kind of way ... it's actually in the shape of a bird's beak. then since we were already there, we went to sentosa. this is a place gary and i used to frequent pre-baby days. took some really nice pics there. fun but tiring day ... nat came home and slept the rest of the day ... heehee so did we.

i've also uploaded some new pics of nat, i really like the one of her in a pink hat from babyGap, very sweet. also have a nice and comfy mat for baby.

baby friends

had a meet up with my forum frens, pp with babies about the same age as nat. it turned out to be quite a fun gathering. never seen so many babies in one house before. i enjoyed it though, it was nice being able to talk about our babies and learn from the experience of others. best of all, nat now has many little friends :)

This weekend, we took lots of pics of baby, she rarely does smile so when we actually do manage to capture her smiles on camera, it's like finding a rare gem. i'm still exploring the templates on the MacBook, so far it's quite user friendly and displays the photos in a very interesting manner.

On Sunday, we brought nat to botanic gardens. she was in my carrier and i think the rocking motion caused by my walking lulled her into sleep, quite cute. after tat, we made our way to Singapore expo. There was an exhibition ongoing and it was super crowded. however, we managed to get diapers cheap cheap for nat, so it was worth it after all.

we have a new toy, an apple macbook. it's great, especially for designing our blog. here's something i did. still exploring, hope to be able to design an even cuter blog in future.



gary's been away overseas for business, and he's fretting that babee will forget him. no worries about tat, nat always smiles and chuckles away when i ask her where's her daddy.

I've been lazy, have not updated babee's blog for a few weeks, never mind will get back into the swing of things again.

Yesterday, nat was in a really good mood. She did a half flip and could even hold her own milk bottle for a few seconds. She really grows up so fast every day. These days, when I talk to her, she looks at me intently like she understands what I am talking about.

Having a baby has certainly changed my life. I find that I am definitely more patient. It has also strengthened my relationship with gary and drawn us closer.
